Peter Langridge is Emeritus Professor at the University of Adelaide, Australia and chair of the Scientific Board of the Wheat Initiative based at the Julius-Kühn-Institute, Berlin. 

Langridge serves on several science advisory committees for research organizations in Europe, North America and Oceania.  From 2003 to 2014, he was the Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics (ACPFG). 

Langridge has been Editor-in-Chief of MDPI Agronomy since its foundation in 2011.  His research has focused on the role of genetic technologies in crop improvement.
